The Power of Music

Shreyas Iyer has been learning the tabla since he was 7 years old. His innate passion and dedication to learning this complex art form has been furthered by gurus like Pt. Nandan Mehta, Pt. Tribhuvan Dabhi, Pt. Anindo Chatterjee, Shri Ty Burhoe, Shri Aditya Kalyanpur. He has accompanied several local and international artists at venues that span the state of Arizona. 

Shreyas continues to spread his knowledge and passion for this instrument through classes and workshops in the Phoenix Valley through his school Dhaa School of Music. 

In his constant pursuit to express the universality of music, Shreyas has collaborated with groups like The Pangean Orchestra, Un Corazon Flamenco Dance, Ben Anderson group, Ken Koshio and the Taiko drums at The Musical Instrument Museum and Hegel Yoga Center where he has served as a guest instructor on the topic "Yoga of Sound"
